I’m just back from broadcasting at the White House to mark the Trump administration’s First 100 Days. Dr. Marty Makary, the new head of the FDA, and Vani Hari, the Food Babe, were among our guests. They are important because, outside of issues like immigration, Americans are paying close attention to RFK Jr.’s push to make our food more healthful. Makary and Hari are key players for those plans.

Last week, CNN pundit Scott Jennings made a great point about why President Donald Trump seems to be overwhelming Democrats in so many ways. Jennings stated that Trump’s superpower is doing things that 80 percent of Americans support versus stuff that 20 percent support. Jennings added that Trump Derangement Syndrome forces Democrats to flail against Trump’s actions even if their flailing damages them.

Congress recently passed the Laken Riley Act with bipartisan support. Laken Riley was a 22-year-old nursing student murdered on Feb. 22, 2024, by an illegal alien at the University of Georgia. The murderer had been arrested previously on other charges. but had not been detained by local authorities for possible deportation by ICE. The Laken Riley law would require that ICE be notified of those here illegally who were arrested for other crimes.

I’ve fine-tuned my crystal ball and am ready to tell you what will probably happen in 2025. In our area, I see Republicans, aided by activist Scott Presler, winning the governor’s office in New Jersey. I also see Republicans in Harrisburg passing their Protect Women’s Sports Act with some Democratic support. This act would prevent biological males at birth from competing in girls’ and women’s sports. I think Gov.

In the wake of the 2024 election, there is a dispute over how big the Amish vote for Trump was in Pennsylvania. The Wall Street Journal leans toward an increase of Amish voters in 2024, and The Philadelphia Inquirer dismisses that theory. The battle is important for two reasons. Producing more Amish voters was part of the GOP’s strategy in Pennsylvania and is a major reason why conservative activist and voter turnout guru Scott Presler is being so widely touted.
