SAN DIEGO (FOX 5/KUSI) — Mother’s Day is right around the corner, and the National Retail Federation predicts consumers will spend $33.5 billion this year on the holiday, but the Trump administration’s tariffs have already increased prices on flowers, one of the day’s most popular gifts. About 80% of flowers in the United States are imported from other countries, meaning tariffs could be raising the cost this year for consumers and business owners.
