There’s nothing nicer than being outside on a beautiful late spring day, especially if it means you get a whole day away from your desk. Danielle, Carol, and digital editor Christine Alexander recently played hooky from their editorial duties and went on a horticultural adventure at one of New England’s great public gardens.

Hi GPODers! Today we’re getting an update from a frequent GPOD contributor, Alice Fleurkens in Ontario. This is Alice again, from Sweaburg, Ontario. Here are some recent pictures of my garden. To get up to speed on Alice’s gorgeous garden, check out some of her previous submissions: Good Friends Make a Great Garden, Alice’s Front Garden in Canada, Summer in Ontario, and September in Alice’s Garden. This clematis was given to me by a friend. It does not seem to have issues like clematis wilt etc.

Hi GPODers,Today we’re in Rhonda’s garden in southeastern Pennsylvania. We’ve seen Rhonda’s garden a few times over the years (check out her earlier submissions: Rhonda’s Pennsylvania Garden, Fall in Rhonda’s Garden, and A Safe Garden Wedding in the Time of COVID), and it’s always a treat to see how the space evolves while continuing to thrive. She shared several spectacular spring scenes spring as well as a FANTASTIC picture of a guest that plays a helpful role in the garden.

Happy Friday, GPODers! We have another installment of my travels through Canada last summer, and I want to dive into some of the wildflowers I spotted while traveling. While rest stops and overnight parking lots are an unglamorous necessity of long-haul travel, I make a point to park in nature as often as I possibly can. Part of my routine when I find myself parked up at a new area is walking around and taking in all of the various plant life around me.
