Whether your car or truck is someday run purely by a battery, or is a hybrid of gasoline and a rechargeable battery, or traditionally gas-powered, is to be determined. The real question: What is the path to widespread adoption and acceptance of EVs? In 2021, Virginia auto dealers supported strict regulations requiring 100% of all new vehicles sold in the commonwealth be fully electric by 2035.
