Conor McGregor has been told to ‘stop running’ and accept a third fight with Nate Diaz by former world champion Jake Shields. Diaz and former Strikeforce middleweight champion Shields have been best friends for years, and were close-knit teammates during the build-up to both of his 2016 McGregor fights. Despite the pair going 1-1, the two UFC legends have been unable to make a trilogy happen for almost the past decade.

Dricus Du Plessis has been told by one of the world’s top middleweights that he must get to the later rounds in order to defeat Khamzat Chimaev. Number six-ranked Caio Borralho was pushing for a fight of his own against Chimaev earlier this year, but understands the dangers posed by the Swede at the top level. He feels that if the fight is to end early, it will be in favor of Chimaev, but that in latter rounds Du Plessis will get it done.

Jones was relatively unresponsive when asked by Bloody Elbow during fight week about potentially fighting Aspinall. But he did joke that if the Brit came to one of his Dirty Boxing Championship events then he would give him the fight. It is expected that Aspinall will have an announcement of a fight soon, with fans speculating it may be at International Fight Week. Dana White claims Jones has agreed to the fight, but the UFC legend seemed surprised to hear that this week.

Jon Jones’s teammate Gable Steveson has hit back at fans who claim that the heavyweight champion is ‘ducking’ Tom Aspinall. It’s been almost two years since the Brit won interim gold at heavyweight when Jones was injured and forced out of his first title defence. However, Aspinall seems to be farther away than ever from a chance to unify the division as his rival eyes retirement or a fight with Francis Ngannou.

Former UFC fighter Sasha Palatnikov couldn’t stop himself from tearing into the crowd after a controversial win at DBX 2. It seemed as though Phil Hawes was pushing the issue and going for a big win in his debut for the Dirty Boxing Championship, which is owned by Mike Perry and Jon Jones. But a series of eye pokes saw Palatnikov severely injured and unable to see out of one eye. As a result, the fight was called off and awarded to Palatnikov by way of disqualification.

HS vs Aaron would be a maaaassive fight, but if Wade is considered way too good for his debut then I can’t see why Aaron’s coaches would want HS, who’s pretty much the same level if not better.

Rest in peace, Brian Wilson. I’ll never forget that night at the Bord Gais Theatre in 2017. Magic happened in front of my eyes. https://t.co/qJZkzWBLNX

RT @nrs82: The term 'genius' is thrown around often, especially in the arts, but Brian Wilson absolutely qualifies. At his best, he was on…
