We conducted a cross-sectional study using the US National Health and Nutrition Examination Surveys (NHANES) and the Korean NHANES (KNHANES) from 2007 to 2018. Both surveys provided a nationally representative cross-sectional study of a non-institutionalized population using a multistage cluster sampling design [13, 14]. In NHANES and KNHANES, each participant completed the questionnaire only once, indicating that each patient received one questionnaire.
