Borderline personality disorder (BPD) is a characterized by dysregulated emotions and behavior (American Psychiatric Association, 2022). It is associated with high rates of self-harm and suicidality (Kirtley et al., 2019; Paris & Zweig-Frank, 2001). BPD is also referred to as emotionally unstable personality disorder (EUPD; World Health Organization, 2016) and personality disorder, borderline pattern (World Health Organization, 2019).
