Three-time Tony-winning actor-dancer-choreographer Hinton Battle died on Jan. 30. He was 67. “Hinton was dynamite,” Debbie Allen, the Tony- and Emmy-winning star of TV’s Fame, told me. “Dancing dynamite, because he exploded onstage. It was where he was meant to be.”“There was nothing like him,” added Phylicia Rashad, the acclaimed actor and director and current dean of the Chadwick A. Boseman College of Fine Arts at Howard University.
