Kendall County State's Attorney Eric Weis has been dismissed from a lawsuit alleging misconduct involving his former Chief Assistant State's Attorney, Mark Shlifka. The lawsuit, filed in 2023, claimed Shlifka engaged in a sexual relationship with a woman who was simultaneously being prosecuted by Weis’s office for a DUI while also serving as a witness in a domestic violence case Shlifka was prosecuting.

After college, I taught high school here and continue to enjoy retirement in this wonderful small town.
