For when feminists diminish or deny all the differences between male and female, the only remaining distinction between the sexes is the capacity of women to give birth. In other words, the Christian vision of the sexes celebrates feminine gifts beyond the birthing room, but the feminist vision of interchangeable cogs can give no reason for why women exist except their capacity to make babies.

In a recent episode of the Church Leaders Podcast, Ed Stetzer interviewed J. D. Greear on Key Points for Pastors to Remember During This Election Year. Having already studied this subject a good deal, I likely would not have given the podcast a listen. Yet I was roused from my disinterest by a tweet Stetzer posted (and later deleted), which framed the discussion of political matters in a way that is almost certain to harm the church. So, I dutifully listened to the entire 46-minute episode.

I have recently written several articles on the rise of feminism in evangelicalism in general, as well as in the SBC. The latter article featured a lengthy footnote that initially did not translate well into the complex world of online coding. C’est la vie, I thought. Only eggheads read footnotes anyway. Yet the content of that footnote received fresh relevance following an article from SBC Executive Committee member Russ Barksdale, Why I Will Vote No on the Law Amendment.
