Early in my career, I became consumed with being successful, though I wasn’t sure what this meant. My whole world revolved around work responsibilities and the people at the office. I sought an identity apart from myself, in a sense, gauging my worth by my productivity and bank account balance. Is our work addiction impacting our relationships, our physical and mental well-being — and how we view the beautiful things of everyday life, especially our time with cherished family members?

With hearts and minds open and unencumbered — foolish notions and biases we push aside. Cobweb snares clear, and something mystically appears — and we stare. The clouds scatter, the misty curtains open wide, and we glimpse a dawn light, new sights, the mind bathing in new considerations with something fresh to share. Instead of the multiplicities and proclivities that divide, we detect in our minds a mystical essence — a transforming mentality that is clearer and more aware.
