Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. On the other hand, it's the day the nation inaugurates its 47th president, Donald John Trump. Usually, I'm all in on the transfer-of-power thing. Not this time. On Inauguration Day, I'll choose to commemorate King. It's an easy decision, for me. Martin Luther King Jr. Day honors service, not self-gratification.
