Monday, Jan. 20, offers a choice. On the one hand, it's the federal holiday to celebrate the life of the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. On the other hand, it's the day the nation inaugurates its 47th president, Donald John Trump. Usually, I'm all in on the transfer-of-power thing. Not this time. On Inauguration Day, I'll choose to commemorate King. It's an easy decision, for me. Martin Luther King Jr. Day honors service, not self-gratification.
