Dylan Harper, Ace Bailey and VJ Edgecombe have been the most popular names projected in the tier behind Cooper Flagg all year. It’s sounding like Flagg’s Duke teammate, 7-foot-1 freshman center Khaman Maluach, may be entering that tier. Lendeborg, a two-time AAC Defensive Player of the Year, landed at No. 1 on Hoops HQ’s ranking of the top transfers. The do-it-all forward averaged 17.7 points, 11.4 rebounds, 4.2 assists, 1.8 blocks and 1.7 steals last season for UAB. His decision to withdraw from the Draft came as somewhat of a surprise, considering he was widely projected to be a first round pick (he was slotted at No. 28 in Hoops HQ’s latest mock).

Byrd’s decision to return is a huge boost to the program’s hopes of improving its fortunes during its final season in the Mountain West before moving on to the Pac-12 in 2026-27. The dynamic wing from Stockton, Calif., was the team’s second-leading scorer (12.3 points per game) and passer (2.7 assists) as a freshman but only shot 30.1 percent from three-point range. Byrd had been on the radars of NBA scouts all season.
