Here are our first Bucks County area boys' volleyball rankings of the season. Take a look:1. Pennsbury (9-0)The defending PIAA District One Class 3A champions, who reached the PIAA quarterfinals last year before falling to eventual PIAA runner-up Parkland in five sets, have come out flying this season. The Falcons are the only PIAA District One team in the Pennsylvania Volleyball Coaches Association state rankings, sitting at No. 10 in Class 3A.

It was first things first when Holy Ghost Prep decided to add volleyball as a new varsity sport this spring. "We didn't even have the holes in the gym floor to get the poles and the net set up," HGP athletic director Craig Conlin said with a laugh. "So we started as basic as getting that done and just built it from the ground up. All the credit goes to our coach, Noelle (Codispoti), and my assistant AD, Gump Whiteside.

La Salle High (2-3)The Explorers, the defending PIAA Class 3A runners-up from a year ago, lost an enormously talented group to graduation (a remarkable eight of their seniors from a season ago are now playing Division I-A lacrosse). But they've done what good programs do, which is fill in the holes and keep winning.
