CM Punk announces hiatus after brutal Bad Blood match against Drew McIntyre. On October 5th, CM Punk and Drew McIntyre faced each other in a ‘Hell in a Cell’ match at the Bad Blood PLE. Both men took each other to hell during the match but in the end, Punk kept McIntyre down to earn the victory. Both the men finished the bout in a bloodied mess. However, while Punk limped away to the back after the match, Drew McIntyre required a total of 16 staples to close the deep wound on his scalp.

Drew McIntyre suffered a brutal head injury at Bad Blood. The opening match at Bad Blood was a violent Hell in a Cell bout between CM Punk and McIntyre. Both the men took each other to literal hell in the match, as they tried to end each other’s careers. However, one spot in the match saw CM Punk bash a metal toolbox against The Scottish Psychopath’s head and brutally cut him open. The hit left behind a deep gash on McIntyre’s scalp, leaving him in a pool of blood.

Tonight’s PLE in Atlanta, Georgia began with a bang as CM Punk defeated Drew McIntyre in a Hell in a Cell match, and both Nia Jax and Liv Morgan defended their Championships. However, before Liv Morgan vs Rhea Ripley, Triple H stopped the show with a historic announcement. The Game announced a new championship at the State Farm Arena for the upcoming PLE in Saudi Arabia.
