Missouri volleyball's next challenge in the NCAA Tournament comes in the Sweet 16 against Kentucky, the team that secured the outright Southeastern Conference title after defeating the Tigers 3-1 (25-19, 25-14, 23-25, 25-20) on Nov. 27 at the Hearnes Center in Columbia. First serve between the seventh-seeded Tigers and third-seeded Wildcats is slated for noon Thursday at the Petersen Events Center in Pittsburgh. The match will be broadcast on ESPN2.

Mizzou volleyball coach Dawn Sullivan, outside hitter Mychael Vernon and three other players on the Tigers' roster earned American Volleyball Coaches Association Central Region honors Tuesday. Vernon was named the 2024 AVCA Central Region Player of the Year after leading the Tigers with 493 kills this season.
