Dusty May made his annual spring appearance on Defend the Block today, discussing the offseason up to this point, the transfer portal haul and what he’s expecting as spring practices get underway in Ann Arbor this month. May admitted that he hasn’t been at home much since the season ended, but he’s happy with how things have gone. “It’s been a very productive spring for the program,” he said.

As first reported by Jon Rothstein, Michigan will host Villanova at the Crisler Center this season. The Wildcats are entering the first year under new head coach Kevin Willard, who left Maryland this offseason. The date of this year’s matchup is to be announced, per Rothstein. The Wolverines will play a return game at Villanova in 2026-27. Michigan and Villanova have met several times over the past decade, including in the 2018 National Championship game and the 2022 Sweet Sixteen.
