As first reported by Jon Rothstein, Michigan is working to schedule a neutral-site game against Duke in Washington, D.C. during the upcoming season. Rothstein reports that the game will be played in February 2026 at Capital One Arena. The Wolverines are also scheduled to face Wake Forest in Detroit, play at TCU and play in the Players Era Festival in Las Vegas as part of their non-conference schedule in 2025-26.

Michigan wing Nimari Burnett will be back for another season in Ann Arbor. The 6-foot-5, 200-pound wing announced his intentions to return to the Wolverines today. Burnett averaged 9.4 points, 3.5 rebounds and 1.5 assists in 26.3 minutes per game in 2024-25. He also led the team in made 3-pointers, finishing 66-of-165 from deep on the season. “He’s a testament to all that’s right in college basketball,” Dusty May said of Burnett in February.

With just a few days until the transfer portal closes, Michigan’s April has been eventful to say the least. The Wolverines lost five players to the transfer portal, including one starter, and Danny Wolf declared for the NBA Draft on Wednesday. In total, eight of last year’s 12 scholarship players will be headed elsewhere via graduation, transfer, or professional options.

Michigan junior Danny Wolf is headed to the NBA Draft and will forgo his remaining eligiblity, as first reported by ESPN. “This season exceeded all expectations,” Wolf told ESPN. “We had an awesome year from a team standpoint. I didn’t know what I was getting myself into with a brand-new roster and coaching staff, but Dusty May had an out-of-the-box plan for my development with a unique style of offense that allowed me to play my game.
