Sanders put together a monster weekend where he batted 7-16 (.438) with a 1.221 OPS at the plate. His performance with the bat also helped the Broncos secure a series win, with the team going 3-1 against the Gators.

The 45th annual Aztec Invitational was a three-day event hosted on the campus of San Diego State.

The win moves the Broncos CCAA conference record to 12-6 on the season and 16-7 overall. The Broncos came into Thursday’s game with a bitter taste in their mouth as Cal State East Bay won the first meeting between the two Dec. 9, 82-80.

    By Dylan Long, Dec. 5, 2023Cal Poly Pomona’s women’s basketball team kicked off CCAA conference action Thursday evening at Cal Poly Humboldt. CPP came up short in a 61-58 loss to Humboldt, its second of the season bringing them to 3-2. Thursday’s game was not only the first CCAA game for the Broncos but it was also their first road test of the season. Following the tip, both squads were slow out of the gate with only 13 combined points scored in the first five minutes of action.
