I shot this earlier today at Fire Station 18 in Lennox, CA. I went there to take a group photo of the firefighters there, which was very special to me because I shot my very first portrait at the same station over 30 years ago when I took a beginner's photo class at a local college. When we were done with the group shot, I asked some of the guys if they would like to take individual portraits. This was a pretty simple set up.

I shot this the other day while friends from SMPD's Mounted Unit were taking a group photo with the Chief and another photographer. The officer pictured here asked me to take some individual shots of with her horse, Laredo. We didn't have a lot of time, so I set up a Kate foldable backdrop behind her and the horse, with the sun behind the backdrop to make the lighter colors stand out more. I then used a Godox V1 flash and a Phottix Raja 85cm Octagonal softbox to add light to her and the horse.
