‘Tariff’ is the all-consuming word of the moment; omnipresent, inescapable and every bit as menacing as ‘unprecedented’ was in 2020 (and, just to further vomit on my eiderdown, the discussion of the ‘t’ word has led to an upswing of the ‘u’ word into the bargain). On a micro level, it’s so all-encompassing that I’m here writing about them having pored over as much raw data as I can and parked a review of a (really very good) Bluetooth speaker to make room for it.
