    There is a vital connection that prayer and Scripture have for each other. We cannot have one without the other. We must learn to prayerfully read the Bible and biblically pray. In fact, the Bible is God’s school for prayer. Let the Bible Teach You to Pray “Lord, teach us to pray.” What a beautiful and humble request by the disciples to Jesus. They are acknowledging that they have so much to learn about prayer and Jesus is the One who can teach it to them.

    I was scheduled for part two of a root canal. (Woo hoo!) I realized I needed a better strategy entering round two than I had going into round one.     The topic of Paul’s thorn in the flesh (2 Cor. 12:7) is, on the one hand, like a puzzle to be solved — what could have caused Paul such agony? — and, on the other hand, the source of a powerful spiritual lesson — “My grace is sufficient for you, for power is made perfect in weakness” (2 Cor. 12:9). Perhaps the combination of its mystery and profundity is why the riddle of Paul’s thorn has been attended by keen interest by some, but profound skepticism by others.
