    Governor Dauda Lawal of Zamfara State has approved a special Sallah bonus for all civil servants and pensioners in the State. This is contained in a statement signed by the state Commissioner for Information and Culture, Mahmud Dantawasa issued in Gusau on Monday. The timely gesture, the commissioner said, is a reflection of the governor’s deep commitment to the welfare and happiness of the people, especially during the sacred period of Eid-el-Kabir, a time of sharing, reflection, and prayer.

    Vice-President Kashim Shettima says Nigeria is pursuing a $25 billion undersea gas pipeline project aimed at supplying natural gas to Europe through the West African coastline. Shettima disclosed this on Monday during a meeting with Vitol Group, the world’s largest independent commodity trader, at the Presidential Villa in Abuja. The Nigeria-Morocco Gas Pipeline will deliver gas from Nigeria to Morocco, then onward to Europe.

    The Benue Police Command has confirmed that suspected killer herdsmen on Sunday night attacked communities in Gwer West and Apa Local Government Areas (LGAs) of the state.     The Oyo State government has subsidised prices of ram, rice and vegetable oil for civil servants in the state, in its effort to bring succour to Muslim workers. The Chairman, Oyo State Agricultural Credit Corporation, Sheihk Taofeek Akeugbagold made this known on Monday in Ibadan during the distribution of the items to some of the beneficiaries.
