Published on April 17, 2025 "The next project set in the Frostpunk universe" is even now in production, developers 11 bit have revealed in their latest annual financial results. Whether it be known as Frostpunk 3, Fro3tpunk, Frostpunk: Revengeance, or some other variation of Frostpunkage, it could launch "as early as 2027". 11 bit have also begun development of a "larger-scale title", which they're hoping to release in 2029.

When I first wrote about Mandragora: Whispers Of The Witch Tree in January, I worried I might have spotlighted a dud. Or at least, something fairly routine. Mandragora sure does look like a lot of dark fantasy side-scrollers - gritty yet plump and colourful, like they stuck a bike pump in Castlevania, or took a chisel to Trine. It sure does have RPG classes and skilltrees. It sure does have crafting, with hundreds of items to acquire.

Sega are among the big games publishers who are currently feeding large swathes of their business to the flames of profit growth. In September 2023, they cancelled Creative Assembly’s looter shooter Hyenas and announced plans to cut costs across their European business. Last January, they laid off 61 workers at Sega of America in California. Then, they chopped another 240 jobs across Creative Assembly, Hardlight, and other Sega operations in Europe.
