COTABATO CITY, BARMM, Philippines — In a surprise development, President Marcos had appointed a new leader for the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM), which is currently governed by a transition body called the Bangsamoro Transition Authority or BTA. On Sunday, word about the appointment of Maguindanao del Norte acting Gov. Abdulraof Macacua as BARMM’s Interim Chief Minister circulated on social media, with several personalities close to him offering congratulatory messages.

COTABATO CITY – A college dean, his nephew, and a village health worker and her husband were killed in separate attacks by still unidentified gunmen in Sultan Kudarat province on Thursday. Diocesan priest Charlie Dorado Celeste, president of Notre Dame of Salaman College (NDSC) in Lebak town, Sultan Kudarat, posted on his social media page that Henry Acha Racho, 52, and his nephew, Erick James Moyet, were ambushed in Barangay Marigaeg of Kalamansig town.
