Disney’s “Moana 2” reigned at the box office for the third straight Friday, as the animated musical starring Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson saw $6 million in ticket sales, according to The Numbers. The sequel has already pulled in nearly $317 million since it debuted Thanksgiving weekend. Girl power was also on display as “Wicked” took a close second, with $5.8 million in sales to start the weekend.

Thousands of demonstrators filled the streets of Tbilisi, Georgia, Saturday, building barricades, breaking windows and setting off fireworks outside parliament to protest the government’s withdrawal from talks to join the European Union. The crowds were met by riot police firing water cannons and tear gas, according to reports. Protests also erupted in multiple other cities across the former Soviet republic.

Americans let their fingers do the shopping on Black Friday, as online spending soared to a record-setting $10.8 billion. That haul included a breathtaking $11.3 million spent every minute between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. on the day after Thanksgiving, with most shoppers using their phones, not PCs, to hunt down holiday bargains, according to data provided by Adobe Analytics.  Many of the spend-happy let artificial intelligence help them with their gift list.

Shares of Warner Bros. Discovery sank in Tuesday trading following a report that the entertainment conglomerate may be set to lose its lucrative deal to air NBA games. The stock was off 73 cents, or 9%, to $7.41 in midday trading after earlier dropping to its lowest point in a year, $7.39. Trading volume of nearly 36 million shares surpassed average daily trading volume of about 29 million shares less than two hours into the session.

Former President Donald Trump must pay a $9,000 fine for social media outbursts that violated a gag order in his New York criminal case, the judge overseeing the trial ruled Tuesday. Justice Juan Merchan found that the former president had crossed the line on the order that bars him from making public statements about witnesses and jurors in nine of the 10 instances flagged by prosecutors.
