By Ekemini Simon Following the delays by the Government of Akwa Ibom State to implement the new minimum wage for its workers in the State, the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC), Akwa Ibom State Council together with its counterpart, Trade Union Congress (TUC) have written to the Governor of Akwa Ibom State, Mr. Umo Eno highlighting their concerns and planned actions. The Federal Government of Nigeria in July 2024 had signed the new minimum wage of N70,000 into law.
