But there are barriers built in front of some of us that create unequal opportunities. Our country’s economic system prevents resources from reaching all families, and we often under-resource and under-value the role that care plays in helping all of us. These systems can be reimagined so there are more opportunities for all families to thrive.

In 2022, a typical White family had net wealth five to six times higher than that of Black and Latine families.
