    Mountain rescue teams are again urging motorists to stay away from the Wicklow Mountains, where freezing and treacherous conditions are expected to persist today and into the weekend. Volunteers from the Dublin & Wicklow Mountain Rescue Team (DWMRT) have responded to a number of incidents involving stranded vehicles on impassable roads this week. DWMRT has also deferred a major fundraising event which was due to begin this evening due to the current 'unsafe' conditions.
