PAX East 2025 has come and gone, and as per usual, there were more interesting games than any one person could possibly dig through on their own. Despite the continued general absence of many of the big publishers like Sony, the show floor was positively packed with fascinating projects, some with publishers and some without, some close to release and some not at all.

This morning, Rockstar Games released the second trailer for Grand Theft Auto VI, showcasing this new version of Vice City, the game’s deuteragonists, and Stephen Root, the very first voice we hear, playing a scummy loan shark named Brian. In classic GTA fashion, the tease showcased plenty of sex and violence (in this case set to The Pointer Sisters’ “Hot Together”), but perhaps what stuck out most was the relationship between the game’s two leads, Jason and Lucia.

While it can be hard to keep track of the seemingly infinite number of Star Wars television programs, Tales of the Jedi was a great short-form animated series that flew under the radar back in 2022. It set a meditative tone through moody backdrops and deliberate pacing, transforming Count Dooku from a pulpy bad guy to a more complicated figure while also having us sit with each chapter in Ahsoka Tano’s story.

Despite its previous late 2025 release window, the company confirmed that their heavily anticipated crime game won’t be out until May 26, 2026.
