The closure is due to replacement of older pieces; nothing new will be added. The large playground at the La Jolla Recreation Center is currently closed as city of San Diego crews are working to replace parts and pieces that have been weathered over time, according to a city spokesperson. The playground is expected to reopen Saturday, April 26. No new playground equipment is being added. © lajolla.ca
