In the most comprehensive study of its kind, scientists from University College London have found that generally, life satisfaction peaks in the morning but plummets as midnight approaches. The new research tracked more than 49,000 adults in the UK for two years, from March 2020 to March 2022. Happiness scores were at their highest at 6am and dipped at around 10am. People then rallied in the early evening, reaching another high at about 6pm.
