Coupled with the breezy and dry conditions, most of northwestern Siouxland is under a Fire Weather Warning until late tonight and a Fire Weather Watch until late Monday.

SIOUX CITY (KTIV) - While it’s been relatively calm wind-wise, we will see winds pick up a bit the next few days. With the hot, breezy, and dry conditions on Mother’s Day, a Red Flag Warning is in effect for much of northwestern Siouxland until late Sunday night. Tonight, lows will be in the mid-50s. Skies will stay clear and that clearing will remain with us into Mother’s Day. Highs for Mother’s Day will climb into the lower 90s.

SIOUX CITY (KTIV) - It was another sunny and beautiful in Siouxland. It will remain clear overnight into Monday morning. Lows will drop into the mid 20s. The slight breeze will calm as well. Monday looks to be another sunny and wonderful day. Highs will be in the mid to upper 70s across Siouxland. Tuesday brings mostly sunny skies and highs in the lower 80s. Mostly cloudy skies take over for Wednesday.

SIOUX CITY (KTIV) - It was a cool start to Saturday, but it has warmed up quite rapidly and made for a beautiful start to the weekend. Warm daytime highs will drop into the lower 40s overnight. Winds will be calm or right around 5 mph under clear skies. Plentiful sunshine will persist Sunday with highs a bit warmer, getting into the mid 70s. Winds will start to pick up a bit, but it will be quite minor out of the southeast between 5 and 10 mph. It will remain clear overnight into Monday morning.

SIOUX CITY (KTIV) - Cloudy conditions have stuck around Siouxland throughout the day. As we approach the nighttime, showers could pop up, particularly after sunset. Storms also have the potential to pop up, mainly between 10pm and 5 am if any can manage to get going. That’s just the first round of severe activity, though. Our eyes really turn to Monday which presents the possibility of a severe weather outbreak. Monday will start of partly cloudy, but skies will really clear during the midday hours.

SIOUX CITY (KTIV) - Scattered showers will continue to push through the evening hours before clearing the area, leaving us with mostly cloudy skies. Overnight lows will drop to the upper 50s and lower 60s tonight. Tomorrow, lingering showers will be possible in the morning, but the severe threat won’t be until the afternoon, evening, and nighttime hours. Most likely around dinner time is when we can expect the strong to severe activity.

SIOUX CITY (KTIV) - A rainy Easter will keep afternoon plans indoors, but rain will eventually taper off later in the evening. Skies will clear out a overnight giving way to a mostly sunny Monday. Highs will be warmer in the lower 70s. Showers could move in during the nighttime hours Monday. Lows overnight will drop into the upper 40s. Warm conditions stick around Tuesday with highs in the mid 70s with stray showers still a possibility. Overnight looks to be relatively dry with lows in the mid 40s.

SIOUX CITY (KTIV) - Cooler temperatures have settled in for the weekend with dry conditions for Saturday, but as we approach the late morning hours on Sunday, rain showers move into the area. Tonight, lows will drop into the upper 30s, but winds will be relatively calm or right around 5 mph. Clouds will increase overnight. We’ll see those clouds thicken up later Sunday morning when rain showers roll into Siouxland.

***Red Flag Warning in western Siouxland until late Monday night***SIOUX CITY (KTIV) - Warm, windy, and dry conditions across the area have led to Red Flag Warnings being issued across the area that will last until Monday evening. Monday will be slightly cooler with highs in the upper 50s and lower 60s, but we will stay quite dry until later in the day plus winds will be gusting near 45 miles per hour. As we turn to Monday evening, showers become a possibility and maybe a thunderstorm or two.

***Fire Weather Watch for most of the western half of Siouxland on Sunday until 8pm***SIOUX CITY (KTIV) - As temperatures increase for the weekend, so do wind speeds. Windy conditions will stick with us into the start of the work week seeing gusts upwards of 35 miles per hour on Sunday and Monday. Temperatures climbed into the lower 80s for some of us Saturday. It will still be warm Sunday, but highs aren’t expected to get as warm as Saturday.
