Sometime after Pat Cipollone’s closed-door testimony before the select committee—remember that?!—I dream I’m in a makeshift meeting of my university’s senate, off-campus and ad hoc. We’re all crammed into someone’s living room, mismatched chairs and sofas, pillows on the floor. There is no gentlelady from Wyoming, no without objection or I yield. The dream lacks any filigree of Robert’s Rules.

To the editor — It is my privilege to endorse Colleen Sheahan for Yakima School District Position 3. As a parent of one of her graduates, I have witnessed her dedication to student success. She is an amazing advocate and talent for meeting individual learning styles and needs. She listens and guides parents and students with compassion, firmness and fairness. As an employee of West Chestnut Academy, I experience Colleen's discernment to lead with grace, excellence and integrity.
