Prime Super has recruited a former Media Super chief investment officer to lead the investment team. Michael McQueen joins the $7 billion industry fund as general manager of investments, replacing Jane Kang who left last year. In the new role, McQueen will oversee investment management and operations across all investment options. Prime Super chief executive Raelene Seales - who joined in May from Zurich - welcomed McQueen to the fund. "We are excited to have Michael in the team.

Former Australian Catholic Super investment chief Michael Block has landed at Bellmont Securities, the boutique portfolio manager and broker. In the new role, Block will oversee all aspects of Bellmont's investment strategy and portfolio management. He will work alongside investment team members Peter Bell, Daniel Deverich, and David Montuoro.

Ahead of naming the new investment chief, Funds SA chief executive John Piteo has bolstered the leadership team by making a series of promotions. After a year in the top job, Piteo has elevated nine staffers in investment, finance and operations, analytics, and relationship management. He has appointed two executive directors and four new business heads. "Our people are central to our ability to deliver superior investment outcomes to our clients," he said.

Jeremy Gordon has quit amicaa Investments after just four months with the credit specialist that teamed up with global buyout firm Carlyle. A spokesperson for amicaa confirmed his departure and said the groups is looking for a new sales head. "We have enormous respect for Jeremy," the spokesperson said. "We all agreed it was the best decision to part ways as soon as we both recognised that private credit wasn't the right fit for Jeremy, his family and his career plans.

Colonial First State has hired a local investment director from a global pension fund to run private equity and unlisted assets. At the same time, its head of investment sales has exited. The wealth and superannuation giant confirmed that Chloé Brayne joined this month from Caisse de dépôt et placement du Québec (CDPQ) as head of private equity and unlisted assets. Brayne reports to the firm's chief investment officer Jonathan Armitage.
