A second fashion retailer has announced it would be closing - just days after New Look closed down. Scottish-based Quiz clothing said it would be winding up operations, with five of its stores in Ireland shuttered. The Irish Times reports that 54 jobs will be lost as a result.

A man in his 60s has died after a fatal crash in the city this morning. The collision which involved three vehicles happened on the R129 at Thomandstown near Blakes Cross shortly before 10am this morning. The male driver of one vehicle was pronounced dead at the scene, while a female occupant of another vehicle was taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

The new programme for Government pledges to introduce a Transport Security Force during the next five years. Officials say it would come under the remit of the National Transport Authority, and would operate and have similar powers to Airport Police and Customs Officers.

The Irish Times reports that tickets for Ireland's home showdowns with England and France are selling for nearly €2,500 online. They say that one website is selling more than 600 tickets ranging in prices from €700 for upper tier seats at the Aviva to €2481 euro for seats closer to the action. The IRFU told the publication that under legislation, the Aviva is a Designated Venue and Six Nations Matches were relevant events and as a result reselling above face value wasn't allowed.

Met Éireann says that the lowest temperatures recorded last night were in Dublin. Casement Aerodrome near Baldonnel saw the mercury dip to -5.8C overnight. It's expected that temperatures could plunge to -8C in some parts of the country tonight. A Status Orange low temperature and ice warning will kick in for Dublin from 6pm this evening.
