A 28-year-old man has been arraigned for allegedly possessing 24 packs of dried leaves suspected to be Indian hemp. The accused, Daniel Nii Aryee, who appeared before the Accra Circuit Court presided over by Samuel Bright Acquah last Monday, was charged with a count of unlawful possession of narcotic drugs. He, however, pleaded not guilty, and was granted bail in the sum of GH¢100,000 with two sureties. He is to reappear on February 27 this year.

Unchanging word The immediate past Presiding Bishop of the Methodist Church Ghana, the Most Rev. Titus Awotwi Pratt, who spoke on the theme: “God’s unchanging Word: Hope for all", urged Christians to allow the word of God to light their paths and challenge them to become better people. He said the unchanging power of God's word had the power to transform one into a better person.

He said NAS, whose main objective was to save lives and ensure quality care of patients, had, over the years, chalked up some successes, but there was still room for improvement. "The NAS has expanded from just seven stations in three regions at its inception in 2004 to 297 stations across the country, covering all 275 constituencies, at the end of 2020. “It is my expectation that the board will help maintain and improve upon the gains and successes achieved so far," the minister said.
