A male student was reportedly assaulted in Poly Canyon Village by six people early Saturday morning, according to a campus-wide Clery Act notification email this afternoon. Around 3 a.m., six men reportedly assaulted a male student on the pathway between Inyo and Buena Vista in Poly Canyon Village, according to the university’s email. The student did not sustain life-threatening injuries, University Spokesperson Matt Lazier said.

The previous owner left a lot of equipment on board including a locker full of expired distress flares. My friend called to ask what to do. Well, flares are highly regulated; you can’t set them off, you can’t throw them in the garbage and you have to replace them with new flares that are within their expiry date or you risk substantial fines.
