OBJECTIVES: To establish a framework by which experts define disease subsets in systemic sclerosis associated interstitial lung disease (SSc-ILD). METHODS: A conceptual framework for subclinical, clinical and progressive ILD was provided to 83 experts, asking them to use the framework and classify actual SSc-ILD patients.

INTRODUCTION In this issue of Cancer, we introduce the American Cancer Society National Lung Cancer Roundtable (ACS NLCRT; hereafter NLCRT) strategic plan to reduce the burden of lung cancer. The publication of these initial articles is the first installment of a comprehensive blueprint to accelerate the control of lung cancer and ensure that more individuals who are diagnosed with lung cancer become survivors.
