    The Royal National Institute of Blind People (RNIB) has launched a new initiative to help video game developers make their games accessible for people with sight loss. The initiative, known as Design for Every Gamer, will include a player testing panel. The panel is made up of gamers with sight loss. They have a wide range of experience and interests, and the charity hopes they can help developers and academia to make their games and studies more inclusive to those with sight loss.

    ★★★★Using just a few laundry baskets and hand props, Kimberly Prentice reveals backstage secrets from Broadway in her one-woman show Unseen. Based on her experiences of working as a dresser when she moved to New York to pursue a dance career, it is a humorous yet inspiring play detailing some of the highs and lows of the theatre industry. Unless you’ve ever been backstage while a performance is happening, you probably haven’t given much thought about what goes on.

    ★★★★In this unique musical, Technically: A Musical takes us behind the curtain, placing the backstage crew in the spotlight. It is show week, and the crew is already swamped with all the work that needs to be done before curtains up. When the Director announces that the lead actor has quit an hour before the show is due to start, it is up to the crew to save the day. After all, the show must go on, right? Like any good musical, it is packed with a variety of songs from upbeat tempos to slower ones.

    ★★★★Louise Marwood’s semi-autobiographical show Rita Lynn: Life Coach is a darkly comic tale depicting the nature of addiction. After Louise’s ambitions of becoming a dancer do not reach fruition, she becomes addicted to drugs, and gets trapped in a toxic relationship with her boyfriend Dexter.
