A 24-year-old Lancashire girl, I live in Rossendale where we run 200 ewes, with 150 Cheviot gimmers and 50 older ewes alongside a few calves we carry on to stirks. I have been lucky enough to have the opportunity to work on my partner's parents' farm and train dogs and recently I starting training full-time. We house around 30 dogs and I spend the odd day shepherding.

Originally from Belgium, I did not grow up on a farm but spent most of my weekends on my grandparents farm where they ran Belgium Blues. My passion for working with sheep came as a teenager, following my studies in Forest and Nature Management. Shepherding began after a traineeship with a company who uses sheep in an ecological way to graze nature reserves and green areas next to roads and public parks. In 2018, I imported my first Border Collie, Fellside Finn from Cumbria.

Background: Following my studies at the Royal Agricultural College at Cirencester, in 2019, I moved from the home farm in Brecon to a council farm on the outskirts of Builth Wells with Anna. Here we have grown the established flock of 80 Suffolk cross Texel Mules to 120 ewes and 160 Welsh hill running ewes. Together we originally had two sheepdogs, but our business, Pentre Sheepdogs, now houses 20 dogs which involves breeding, training, trialing and selling the dogs in auction.

Kevin Evans was once again crowned the individual winner of the Four Nations Nursery Championship, this time running Valley View Dan. The event is normally held at Slindon by kind permission of George and Helen Bonsall, but due to ill health, Ian Lomas stepped up to provide an excellent field on Griffe Walk Farm, Brassington, Matlock, Derbyshire. England's Ben Smith and Sandy McCulloch from Scotland judged the competition which saw 12-minute runs handling Lleyn gimmer hoggs.
