ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) - Braves pitcher Spencer Strider continued his rehab from injury Thursday, and he looked to be in top shape. Strider tied a Gwinnett Stripers record by striking 13 batters in 5.1 innings during the team’s 6-1 win over the Norfolk Tides. He recorded his first nine outs via strikeout. Strider has now given up just two earned runs in 13.2 rehab innings with Gwinnett. Stripers pitchers Dylan Dodd, Michael Petersen and Kolton Ingram picked up where Strider left off.

ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) - The Braves have put starting pitcher Reynaldo Lopez on the 15-day injured list, the team announced Monday. The team said Lopez had right shoulder inflammation. Lopez gave up three runs on five hits in his start against the San Diego Padres on Friday. His IL stint has been backdated to Saturday. The Braves are hoping Lopez becomes a fixture of the starting rotation after a stellar 2024 that saw Lopez named to his first All-Star team.
