Winalist, a Champagne-based oenotourism business, has secured €1 million in funding to fuel its international expansion plans. The wine and spirits tourism firm has announced the completion of a €1m funding round to open a second outpost in Porto. The additional funding will also go towards increasing operational support for its local partners and driving the international visibility of Portuguese wine tourism.

Amid difficult trading conditions globally, the Asia Pacific (APAC) region as a whole is feeling the squeeze. Total beverage alcohol volumes across the region fell by 2% in 2024, new data has revealed. In value terms, the decline was 3%. The only category which saw gains was that of ready-to-drinks, though even this growth was minimal at just 1%. Beer saw volume declines of 3%, spirits of 2%, including national spirits, and wine was down 4%.

Raventós Codorníu owner Carlyle has appointed advisors to assess the “strategic options” for its stake in the Spanish sparkling wine group. Investment firm Carlyle has appointed Morgan Stanley and Banco Santander as financial advisors in a “preliminary strategic review process” of its stake in the Spanish wine producer, the company said in a statement shared with db. The Cava maker was asked to confirm whether Carlyle was considering a sale of its ownership stake as part of the review.
