AbstractAsteroid discoveries are essential for planetary-defense efforts aiming to prevent impacts with Earth1, including the more frequent2 megaton explosions from decameter impactors3−6. While large asteroids (≥100 km) have remained in the main belt since their formation7, small asteroids are commonly transported to the near-Earth object (NEO) population8,9.

AbstractWASP-107b is a warm ( ~ 740 K) transiting planet with a Neptune-like mass of ~ 30.5 M⊕ and Jupiter-like radius of ~ 0.94 RJ 1,2 whose extended atmosphere is eroding 3. Previous observations showed evidence for water vapour and a thick high-altitude condensate layer in WASP-107b’s atmosphere 4,5.

AbstractSeven rocky planets orbit the nearby dwarf star TRAPPIST-1, providing a unique opportunity to search for atmospheres on small planets outside the Solar System1. Thanks to the recent launch of the James Webb Space Telescope (JWST), possible atmospheric constituents such as carbon dioxide (CO2) are now detectable2,3. Recent JWST observations of the innermost planet TRAPPIST-1 b showed that it is most probably a bare rock without any CO2 in its atmosphere4.
