At Monday’s meeting, the North Lebanon Township Board of Supervisors unanimously agreed to approve a waiver for curbing on a portion of Long Lane for the Sheetz planned for the intersection of State Route 72 and Long Lane. Supervisors rejected a request by Sheetz to forego curbing and sidewalks along both Route 72 and Long Lane in May, citing safety risks for pedestrians.

    “When was the last time you danced in the rain?” a DJ asked as, despite the sudden downpour, excited participants waved ribbons and balanced hula hoops in a Coleman Memorial Park field at around 4:15 p.m. Saturday. This wasn’t the first rain of the day at Saturday’s 11th annual Spinstock Flow Arts Festival, but it was the most intense bout yet. Before 5 p.m., the heavy rain was over, though the air and grass remained damp.

    The Myerstown Vitality Partnership held the second Myerstown Farmers Market in the parking lot of the community center, at 101 S. Railroad St., from 3 to 7 p.m. Friday.     Lebanon City residents of all ages came together Thursday night to play basketball at the South 6th Street Playground. Former city resident Mark Sevco, who worked with South 6th Street Playground director Sharon Zook to refurbish the basketball courts in 2020, recently donated $100,000 to the Playground Association. Those funds went primarily toward the summer day camp (which runs Monday through Friday, June 16 to Aug. 1), but also sponsored the fourth annual Joseph P.
