    Brian Kennedy has joined the cast of Moonlight: The Philip Lynott Enigma, with Irish tour dates set for June. The show will appear at Dublin’s Vicar Street on June 20 and 21, and Limerick’s University Concert Hall on June 24. The production explores the early life of Thin Lizzy frontman Philip Lynott, and debuted at Vicar Street in April. It blends live performances of Thin Lizzy classics with theatrical storytelling, with Kennedy taking the role of Oscar Wilde. Tickets are on sale now.

    Self Esteem has performed a unique rendition of Fontaines D.C.‘s ‘Starburster’ for BBC Radio 1's New Music Show with Jack Saunders. Also known as Rebecca Lucy Taylor, the Rotherham singer was accompanied by a full choir. Opening with their soft vocal performance, the keys, bass, guitar and drums were slowly introduced. “I’m a big Fontaines D.C. fan, and I just love this song,” said Taylor.

    Waterford artist Tadhg Williams has announced a free home-town show at Geoff’s Café Bar, set for July 5. No tickets are required for the gig, and special guests are to be announced. The performance comes as part of Williams’ current tour across Ireland. It follows support slots for The Coronas, Hermitage Green, Kingfishr and Toucan, as well as his debut EP This Record is a Nixer in December of 2024. “This is the biggest tour I’ve done,” he said.

    Bruce Springsteen has released the first single off his country record Somewhere North of Nashville, titled ‘Repo Man,’ as part of Tracks II: The Lost Albums, out June 27. The previously-unheard collection will include seven full length albums, published through Sony Music. Somewhere North of Nashville features members of Springsteen’s band, Danny Federici, Garry Tallent and Gary Mallaber. Marty Rifkin will appear on pedal steel, and Soozie Tyrell on the fiddle.
