The Her Campus National Editors write about products we love and think you’ll love too. Her Campus has affiliate partnerships, so we get a share of the revenue from your purchase. All products are in stock and all prices are accurate as of publication. Spring may be on its way, but Boston’s brutal winter is here, bringing wind tunnels, snow, and air so cold your face hurts. Staying bundled up is a must—but that doesn’t mean your outfits have to be any less stylish.

Since I came to Boston for school one year ago, I have found a love for trying out new places to do work. I personally get sick of certain locations easily, and changing where I study can improve my productivity. I’m always on the hunt for a place with good energy that allows me to explore a new area of Boston. If Mugar, CDS, your dorm, or other spots on campus are not working for you, I recommend testing out these spaces:Boston Public LibraryBoston Public Library (a.k.a. BPL) is a classic.

I step inside a small cinder block building in Green Pond, S.C., that’s filled with the sound of rushing water. A network of pipes connect large plastic containers of muddy-looking liquid, each nearly the size of a luxury plunge pool. J.B. Layton, the director of ecotourism here at Lowcountry Oyster Co., leads me to the edge of one, sticks his hand in and pulls out what looks like miniature, oblong pieces of gravel.

BY Emily Carmichael | October 5, 2024Grace Potter understands the value of travel. You may know the GRAMMY-nominated country rock artist from her hit “Something That I Want,” which you can find on the “Tangled” soundtrack. BY Emily Carmichael | October 3, 2024We get it, it’s November and you’re going home for Thanksgiving. Sure, one way to think about November travel is through the lens of the holiday. It’s family and turkey trots and belly laughs and unbuttoning the top button of your pants at 12 p.m. because you’re already bloating. Another, equally valid way to think about November is as a last refuge.

My first foray into substack essays! I think modern technology misunderstands love. And I think we can reclaim love by taking a cue from dementia. Plus, I break into a house with my mother. Thank you @_pem_pem for the edits! https://t.co/KqnDDf6rcP

Personal update: I decided to leave my post at Fifty Grande. I'm so grateful for my time there, and that I get to publish this piece before I go. I look at oyster farms and ask if the push to imagine them as "the next vineyard" actually makes sense: https://t.co/igZ61C25Vl
