Submission rates for formative assessments continue to fall. Many students do not submit at all and others make no serious attempt, submitting drafts, notes, bullet-point lists or incomplete answers. Even though institutions emphasise the value of formative work and its contribution to later improvement in summative work, there has been little change to this downward trend.

The Martin, Daviess, and Orange County Soil and Water Conservation Districts (SWCDs) are happy to announce the beginning of a new grant project. The Tri-County Invasive Species Specialist Project is a collaborative effort between the three counties, with support from a Clean Water Indiana grant from the Indiana State Department of Agriculture. Invasives such as Honeysuckle, Autumn Olive, Poison Hemlock, and Emerald Ash Borer are a significant resource concern in Indiana.
