    Inspired by the excellent update on the US approach to AI and copyright in our recent blog post (by Stephanie Drawdy, Eloise Calder and Pierre Valentin), a review of developments this side of the Atlantic was already on the cards when the debate erupted once again in the UK. In an unusually protracted ‘ping-pong’ between the Houses of Parliament, an amendment tabled in the Lords for the protection of copyright holders was rejected five times by the Commons before the Lords finally relented.
