DeAdra Johnson is facing 10 years in prison after pleading guilty on Feb. 11, to one count of theft of government property. A sentencing hearing was set for June 25.

By By Emily Hilley-Sierzchula | Herald correspondent A Killeen man who exposed himself to women and children in the city in 2022 was sentenced this week to a 5-year prison term after pleading guilty. Jeremi Deshawn Guidry, 33, was booked into the Bell County Jail on Aug. 5, 2022, after tips from members of the public led to his arrest. He was being held without bond on Friday on two felony charges and a total of $79,750, on 21 pending misdemeanor charges.

By By Emily Hilley-Sierzchula | Herald correspondent A Kansas man was indicted earlier this week by a Bell County grand jury after he allegedly opened fire on Killeen police officers who were assisting the U.S. Secret Service. On Wednesday, Nathan Andrew Dodge of Wamego, Kan., was indicted on three charges of aggravated assault against a public servant, which is a first-degree felony punishable by 5-99 years, or life, in prison.

By By Emily Hilley-Sierzchula | Herald correspondent A woman who hid a fugitive from police at her Killeen home in 2023, was sentenced this week to a term of probation on a felony charge. Michelle Angela Zuspan, 47, of Killeen, was indicted by a Bell County grand jury on Sept. 4, 2024, on a third-degree felony charge of hindering apprehension of a known felon. She pleaded guilty on April 24, court records show.
