    I spent the spring semester of my junior year studying abroad at University College Dublin in Dublin, Ireland. I walked into it with absolutely no expectations since I was the first in my family to study abroad. With no expectations come nerves, questions, and doubts. Although these feelings were not necessarily wanted, I truly believe they were necessary for growth. For many, including myself, studying abroad was the longest period I was away from home.

    The story of a woman who sadistically assaulted and humiliated her husband Richard is being retold in a new Channel 5 documentary. Violent and abusive Sheree Spencer made her terrified spouse's life a complete misery during a "shocking" 20-year campaign of terror. In February last year, Spencer was jailed for four years at Hull Crown Court. Heavy-drinking Spencer was only caught when a nanny cam filmed her sickening behaviour.

    Repairs have been announced for a road described as "the worst in East Yorkshire". Main Street, between Little Kelk and Great Kelk, near Driffield, is rutted, full of potholes and regularly flooded. Residents claim that it has been neglected for many years and cannot cope with modern levels of traffic. Now, East Riding Council is to invest £800,000 on resurfacing, patching and strengthening the road and pavement, including drainage work.
